Grass Growing: Month of May

The month of May we worked really hard on growing our grass seeds. The children learned some of the basic necessities that our plants need to grow. They also developed a sense of responsibility after caring for their plants on a daily basis.




















We also made booklets to document our grass growth progress. Below, Zaria proudly displays her three grass blades and her drawing.

Our Lions proudly display their grass cups right before taking them home after a month of caring for them in our classroom!

I was finally able to contribute to our Learning Lions blog! There are many pictures I have to share that date back to when I started working as the Learning Lions afternoon teacher in May, and all through the month of June!

Aloha from Hawaii!

Aloha!!! This week the students are going on a trip to Hawaii!!! During their visit they will learn that Hawaii is made up of 8 islands, that it is known as the Aloha State, and that it is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean! (as well as much more) Here are some pictures from the beginning of our trip!
