Today we focused on the book Stuck. The students began our lesson by reading our sentence of the morning. We underlined the first letter in the sentence with red, we circled the shortest word with pink, we circled the longest word with green, we underlined what we were learning about with purple, and we circled the period with orange. We discussed the various parts of the sentences and then moved on to the title and author. Next, we each provided something that could get stuck in a tree. Lastly, we read the book Stuck by Oliver Jeffers. Each time Miss Victoria read the word "stuck" in the book, each child held up an index card that read "stuck". |
