Dentist Visit & Apple Art!

We were very lucky today to have a dentist assistant, Mrs. Jackie, come in and talk to the students about the proper way to care for your teeth, foods to avoid, as well as foods and drinks that make our teeth stronger and healthier. Each child was able to brush "Ally" the Alligators teeth with Mrs. Jackie and ask questions!

After our dentist presentation, we broke into small groups and did apple art! The students watched Miss Vicki cut the apple in half and made a prediction of what was inside the apple. As a class, we counted the seeds and held them before putting them into a bowl. The students each took half an apple and orange paint to stamp on paper. This was a fun way to explore with fruit and paint! We will be eating the clean apples after nap time!

  1. Mrs. Jackie surely knows how to make children comfortable. She has her way of getting their attention. I'm sure they've learned a lot from her. Children should really learn how to brush their teeth properly. Likewise, what they need to do to keep their teeth strong and healthy. It's important that at a young age, they learn the essence of having a good oral habit.
